Flatrock is looking for a Finance Director who can balance financial accuracy with big-picture thinking - someone who's ready to lead, collaborate, and make a real impact behind the scenes of life-changing care. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Financial Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and oversee the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budget reports, and variance analyses
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review AR/AP aging reports and resolve outstanding issues
  • Assist with annual audits and prepare reports for government agencies
  • Conduct regular financial audits across all homes

Billing & Compliance

  • Partner with CMH billing departments to resolve authorization issues, rate breakdowns, and monthly billing concerns
  • Perform quarterly billing audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Communicate financial or billing issues to executive leadership (Co-CEO's and Program Directors)

Operations & Systems Management

  • Manage ADP users (setup, updates, maintenance, archiving)
  • Initiate wire transfers for payroll and operational expenses as needed
  • Audit timekeeping for finance staff to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize systems like FIN and other communication tools effectively

Project Management & Process Improvement

  • Lead projects from start to finish (PTO structures, policy creation/updates, system changes)
  • Train staff on new policies, procedures, and software updates
  • Collaborate with CPA partners to ensure strong financial strategy and long-term success

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with counties, leadership, and internal teams
  • Support and guide accounting staff to resolve issues and improve workflows
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred
  • 5-10 years' experience, required
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in accounting, audits, and reporting
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
