We are looking for janitorial staff to join our growing team - This position will float between one of our 40 care homes in Genesee County deep-cleaning our homes and facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach with hands and arms, to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; to talk and hear; and frequently required to walk and move about the facility. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, and/or kneel. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds or more. May involve travel to other locations/agencies/meetings. May require evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Qualifications:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform deep cleaning of all areas within AFC homes, including resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and hallways
- Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other cleaning equipment
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax, and buff floors as required
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces and disinfect all areas to control the spread of bacteria and viruses
- Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately
- Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor promptly
- Follow all health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and company cleaning standards

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Previous custodial/janitorial experience (preferred)
