Position Overview
As a Limited License Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assessing behavioral needs, developing individualized intervention strategies, and supporting staff and treatment teams in delivering exceptional care. Your expertise will help create positive outcomes and meaningful experiences for the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Design and write:
- Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs)
- Quarterly reviews
- Licensing assessments
- Provide behavior treatment plan in-services and staff education
- Complete ongoing assessments for new residents according to policy
- Train staff in:
- Behavior support strategies
- Positive interactions
- Structured routines
- Coping skills development
- Redirection techniques
- Collaborate with treatment teams to problem-solve and implement program improvements
- Participate in:
- Weekly program meetings
- Staff meetings
- Pre-planning meetings
- Core group meetings (as needed)
- Person-centered planning meetings
- Behavior Management Review Committee meetings (as needed)
- Consult with providers and treatment teams regarding clinical policies and procedures
- Coordinate care with psychiatrists and medical professionals to align medication and treatment plans
- Model and monitor effective implementation of behavior support programs
- Provide progress reviews at least quarterly
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) license
- 3-5 years' experience working with behavioral health challenges
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for person-centered care and improving lives
